After a rewarding career in the non-profit sector for more than 20 years, Ms. Romar transitioned into elder law after taking care of her father with dementia. Through that experience she became acutely aware of the needs of older people and their caregivers. She holds a Paralegal Studies Certificate from Nassau Community College and received a B.A. from the New School for Social Research. Ms. Romar continues her education through workshops offered by the National Center on Law and Elder Rights, as well as the New York County Lawyers Association. She is a member of the New York City Paralegal Association. An avid nature lover, she also has a degree in Ornamental Horticulture and an M.S. in Environmental Studies.
